- About Us
After being established on February 15, 1926, the Fox Point Police Department has continued to be a leader in law enforcement dedicated to serving the citizens of Fox Point. We continue to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and service through education, continued training and using our Mission Statement as our guide.
In 2017, the police department received recognition from the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group for meeting the CORE standards of accreditation. This outside organization reviewed the agencies policies and practices to verify that we are meeting the core standards for a professional law enforcement organization. WILEAG will review our practices and policies every three years to maintain this accreditation.
We currently employ 17 full-time sworn personnel, 1 full-time support-staff member and 2 auxiliary police officers. We have several specialty positions that personnel fill, such as: Use of force Trainers, Firearms Trainers, School Liaison Officers, Mobile Field Force, DARE Officers, Evidence Technicians, Bicycle Patrol and Drug Recognition Experts.
