Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project

The Village’s contractor, Visu-Sewer, will begin rehabilitation work on sanitary sewers in selected areas of the Village the week of May 4.  Visu-Sewer will first clean and televise the sewers to be rehabilitated and, afterwards, will install a cured in place pipe (CIPP).  The process includes placement of a liner (CIPP) between two manhole segments that is hardened by way of a hot water or steam curing process.  During rehabilitation, residents close to the sanitary sewer mains may experience a strong plastic odor; this can be alleviated by pouring water down the floor drains and any basement sinks/tubs.  The location of sewer mains to be rehabilitated is shown on the attached map (in red) and residents impacted by construction will be receiving letters in the next few days.  Should residents have questions, they are welcome to contact Scott Brandmeier, Director of Public Works, at or 414-351-8900.
